FESC is a program funded by the National Science Foundation designed to explore concepts from engineering and science. This free daytime program emphasizes exploring and experiencing rather than watching and listening. Female students who will enter the 8th grade in the 2006-2007 school year are eligible to apply. Lead by Professor Linda Weavers and her team, FESC will run Aug 7-11th, 2006 at The Ohio State University. Camp participants will have the opportunity to perform hands-on activities as well as meet with professional engineers, scientists, and engineering students. FESC will not only provide participants with a better understanding of engineering and science but offer an opportunity to make friends that will last a lifetime!

The popular flute camp for high school students offers students four days of private lessons, master classes and small ensembles to improve abilities as a musician, and is scheduled on campus June 19–23.
This five-day camp June 19-24 immerses high school jazz students in jazz in a fun-filled environment. Highlights are combo and big band performances, master classes, jazz history and improvisation, arranging and composition and more.
This workshop for high school choral teachers, youth choir directors and private voice teachers is slated for June 15-18 at a nearby church. A resident high school mixed chorus will be a demonstration choir.
The Ohio State University offers two programs for high-school students interested in Athletic Training. The multi-day Summer Camp offers students an immersive experience in athletic training while our one-day Winter Workshop offers an opportunity for even more training. Both events give high school students direct, hands-on access to our excellent facilities, staff, and students. They provide a great way to explore the athletic training profession, gain the knowlege and skills to become a student athletic training aide at their high school, and get a head start toward becoming an athletic training major in college.
In accordance with the mission statement of the Department of Recreational Sports, it is the mission of Camp Recky to foster childhood development, both socially and physically; to promote active lifestyles; and prove educational leadership opportunities to the Ohio State University community.
