Selective Admissions School Fair

Columbus City Schools offers Selective Admissions as part of the School Choice/Lottery process for students meeting certain criteria for application. Letters to qualifying students will be mailed on January 12th, 2015.
Columbus PACE will be hosting a Selective Admissions School Fair to introduce students to the programs at Duxberry Park Alternative Elementary, Arts Impact Middle School, Eastmoor Academy High School, Columbus Alternative High School, and Fort Hayes High School. A representative from the School Choice department will be on hand to discuss the application process and answer any questions. This is a great opportunity to have one on one time with the school representatives to learn more about the programs they offer.

OAGC Parent Day 2015 @ Hilton Easton
Oct 11 @ 12:00 pm – 6:30 pm

Please Join Us for Parent Day!!!

2015 OAGC Parent Day

2015 OAGC Parent Day Flier *includes registration form!*

Please plan to attend the OAGC Parent Day on Sunday, October 11 from 12:30-6:30. A great jam-packed day, and it only costs $5!

First is our Division meeting–ALL parents welcome! Perhaps suggest carpooling from your area.

Stephanie Tolan will be the bulk of the afternoon. She will keynote and then we have a Q&A with her.

Then a parent/professional panel on how to be an advocate from the classroom level on up. The panel will be comprised of a professor from OU/parent, former Gifted Coordinator, OAGC Director Ann Sheldon and a parent or two.

We also have one of the authors from the new Fordham book called Failing Our Brightest Kids, a look into how the US is doing too little to educate students to achieve at high levels.

Parent Day is a great opportunity to network and learn from other families–and often the educational/game vendors have set up early so you can buy from them.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions and hope to see you on October 11! Angela Grimm, OAGC Parent Division Chair aecrowder@yahoo.com
